• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; Stripe handles that directly. We receive limited details such as confirmation that a payment succeeded.
• Usage and device data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the Service, used to operate and secure it.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate the Service — create your account, publish listings, enable messaging, and process payments.
• To communicate with you about your account, listings, and transactions.
• To protect the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To improve and develop the Service.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who help us run the Service — including Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and Neon (database and storage). They may process your information only to provide those services.
• With other users — when you message someone, the name you provide and your messages are shared with that user. Your email and password are never shared with other users.
• For legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Buy It Built or others.
